The states of emergency and lawsuits that several New York counties put in place to stop New York City from bussing an overflow of asylum seekers upstate is just one example of a growing divide between the Big Apple and its surrounding localities. That’s according to a new report in the New York Times by Jesse McKinley, who also points to housing, crime and congestion pricing as flashpoints.
