Western Massachusetts State Senator Eric Lesser is running for lieutenant governor, citing his experience over four terms. The Democrat from the 1st Hampden and Hampshire District joins Democratic Senator Adam Hinds from the Berkshire, Hampshire, Franklin and Hampden District among candidates for lieutenant governor. Republican Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito is not seeking a third term as Governor Charlie Baker ends his tenure this year.
