Over the past two centuries, the United States has evolved in ways we could have never imagined, from its natural views to its unmatched history. National Geographic has released a new collection highlighting its legendary photo archives, delivering an up-close-and-personal view of the country. Susan Goldberg is the Editor-in-Chief of National Geographic and the Editorial Director for National Geographic Partners. The new collection, America The Beautiful: A Story in Photographs, spans 130 years. We asked Goldberg if current events played a part in the photographs chosen.
